VALUE OF THE VEHICLE:

Simply go to our online valuation and our extensive, accurate database will determine the value of your car based upon the information you provide. Our valuation is based upon the current market value as determined by your registration number and mileage.

We accept all types of vehicle including cars, motorbikes, vans and 4x4s. Please ensure you enter all information about your vehicle in the additional information section of our online valuation process in order for us to provide you with an accurate valuation. There is no obligation to go proceed with us. Our free online valuation does not mean you have to go ahead. However, don’t forget – we are a lot safer and more secure than a private sale. We offer free collection and we pay you directly in advance. So don’t get taken for a ride elsewhere, choose View Your Car and keep it simple.

We offer a 7 day guarantee on the valuation on the car. After this time, the market value may change. If you received a valuation with us several months ago, we would ask that your car is revalued.

Don’t worry if you didn’t receive the email valuation from us. Simply get in touch with us and we can check your details and provide you with the value of your car.

We take no additional fees and have no hidden charges. We do not charge for appointment or collection. The valuation you receive is the amount that we will pay.

The valuation provided is based upon the information you provide during our online service. View Your Car will carry out checks on your vehicle to make sure it matches the details provided. Should all your details be correct, our initial valuation will be confirmed and we will discuss payment methods. Should the condition or details of the car not match the information provided, a different valuation will be provided.

Once we have valued your car, we make payment to you. Before collection or appointment. Selling with us fast and simple.

Condition of your vehicle

View Your Car loves all cars, no matter their shape, size or unfortunate accident history! As long as you declare the condition of your car, this is not a problem. We accept all cars including those with failed MOT, insurance write-offs and non-starters.

If your vehicle has been modified or adapted, just let us know in the valuation process by entering the details in the Additional Information section. Please provide as much information as possible. If you wish to discuss the features or have any questions, simply contact us and we will be happy to discuss. We always provide the current market value in our valuations.

We accept cars that are damaged beyond repair and deemed an insurance write-off. Please use our free online valuation process and ensure that you indicate this status during the Refine Vehicle section. This is important to ensure that we can give you an accurate valuation.

Yes we will. View Your Car buys any vehicle. Simply enter your vehicle details in our free online valuation and specify that the vehicle is a non-runner in the Additional Information section.

Yes – View Your Car loves all cars. Simply provide us with all the details at the online valuation and we will be in touch to discuss.

Appointment: (FREE collection or Branch visit):

After you have received your free valuation, you will be given the opportunity to choose either a branch visit or free collection from your home or workplace. Once you have submitted your details, we will be in touch to confirm your choice. You can also contact us at the number provided on screen once you have received your valuation. Our branch appointments and collections are a free service with no hidden costs.

Yes you can. There may be some waiting time as we deal with pre appointed customers but we would be more than happy to help. To save time waiting we recommend booking an appointment or informing us prior to arrival.

Our valuation visit takes approximately 30 minutes. The View Your Car team will inspect your vehicle and check all documentation. We will then ask you to accompany our team member for a test drive. After the inspection has been completed, we will confirm the final price for your vehicle and acceptable payment methods.

We will arrange collection from a pre-agreed address of your choice. Our staff will arrange a time to visit, inspect the car and complete the sale by collecting your vehicle.

Our team are able to collect from a range of areas across the UK. Once you have your valuation, either choose a branch to make an appointment or book your collection date and time. We will email you confirmation and get in touch to confirm your appointment or collection time.

General:

In order to give you your valuation, we need to be able to get in touch! We will confirm your valuation and arrange appointment or collection with you.

We will only get in touch when needed and in order to complete your sale.

We are open Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 7.00pm, seven days a week. You can get in touch via email from our Contact page and we aim to provide you with a response within 24 hours. Collection of vehicles can be made out of business hours at evenings and weekends with prior conformation.

If you can’t find your car in our database, don’t worry: there may be many acceptable reasons why our database cannot confirm your vehicle. These could include:

  • Incorrect registration details. Please check carefully for typing mistakes.
  • Your vehicle is not from the UK
  • Your vehicle is older than 15 years.
  • Your vehicle has a (reserved) private VRM.
  • The vehicle data is not available. When this happens, you will be directed to a manual entry page.

Not being able to find your car does not mean we won’t buy it. Simply get in contact and we will be happy to help.

Finance and documentation

If you have payments still to make on your car but have decided to sell, no problem. If the amount you owe is less than the value of the car then we can make payment for you. If the amount outstanding on your finance is higher than the value of your vehicle, you will need to make payment to us. Please ensure you provide us with all the details relating to any finance agreement secured against your car.

In order to sell your car you will need the V5 documents (otherwise known as the logbook), bank details and proof of identity/address, details relating to any finance agreement. If you have a valid MOT, insurance and service history, please also provide these. And don’t forget the keys and manual!

Yes you can! We will carry out all the necessary checks on the vehicle to verify ownership. We will ask for the purchase invoice and all related documentation. If you have any questions, please get in touch.

If the vehicle V5 document is not in your name, we will seek permission from the registered keeper before we proceed. You will need to provide the letter of authorisation.

Yes we will. Please use our free online valuation service and provide your registration details. If you wish to keep your private number plate you will be able to reassign this to another vehicle. To find out more, please contact the DVLA at www.gov.uk

If the log book (V5) is in your name then no problem. If you have recently purchased the car and not yet received the log book, we will seek authorisation, including proof of purchase and identity from the previous owner. You can provide proof of purchase in the form of a signed letter, receipt or bank transfer.

The road tax rules changed and the DVLA will refund your road tax once they have been notified of the sale. This can take up to 6 weeks and payment is usually made to the address that the DVLA hold on record. For more information please contact the DVLA at www.gov.uk.

You should only cancel your insurance once the sale has been completed and you will no longer be driving your car. If you drive the vehicle to our branch for the sale, please ensure you are covered by your insurance.
